SCOPE This Privacy Policy explains how Meridian collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit the Platform, create an account, request a call or orientation, apply for business financing, upload documents or otherwise communicate with us. 2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT We may collect: • identity and contact details, including name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country and account identifiers; • investor onboarding and eligibility information, including identity documents, verification status and source-of-funds information when required; • business application information, including company, industry, revenue, financing purpose, requested amount, website and supporting records; • investment, financing, transaction, opportunity, agreement and uploaded-document information; • questions and answers submitted through document tools; • communications, orientation preferences and internal follow-up notes; and • technical and usage information such as device, browser, page activity, security logs and cookie choices. Please do not submit sensitive information that Meridian has not requested. 3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION We use information to operate and secure the Platform; create and maintain accounts; respond to enquiries; arrange orientations; assess eligibility and applications; perform identity, fraud, sanctions and compliance checks; administer signed arrangements; provide document tools; maintain records; improve services; communicate service updates; and comply with legal obligations. Where applicable, processing is based on performance of a contract or requested pre-contract steps, compliance with law, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Platform, or consent. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing. 4. AI DOCUMENT QUESTIONS When an investor chooses to ask a question about an uploaded financing document, the selected document and question are processed through Meridian’s AI service to generate a document-grounded answer. AI answers may be incomplete or incorrect and do not replace the signed document or professional advice. Do not upload material you are not authorised to disclose. 5. SHARING Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with relevant businesses or capital providers for a requested transaction; identity and compliance providers; hosting, storage, communications, analytics and AI service providers; professional advisers; payment or administration providers involved in an agreed transaction; and courts, regulators or law-enforcement bodies when legally required. Meridian does not sell personal information. 6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS Because Meridian supports users and opportunities in the UAE and USA and uses service providers that may operate internationally, information may be processed outside your country. Meridian uses appropriate contractual, organisational or legal safeguards where required. 7. STORAGE, SECURITY AND RETENTION Meridian uses access controls, private document storage, encrypted communications and monitoring intended to protect information. No system is completely secure. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, contractual records, dispute handling and applicable legal or compliance requirements, then deleted or anonymised where appropriate. 8. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your information, or object to certain processing. Some requests may be limited by identity verification, legal duties, active agreements, fraud prevention or record-retention requirements. You may manage non-essential cookies through available browser or consent controls. 9. CHILDREN The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and Meridian does not knowingly solicit their personal information. 10. CHANGES AND CONTACT This Policy may be updated as services or legal requirements change. The revised effective date will appear above.
